Area Man Accused Of Shooting Military Helicopters
UNION COUNTY (WCBI) – A Union County man faces federal charges for shooting at military helicopters flying over his home.An complaint unsealed Wednesday accuses 60 year old Gary Curbow of shooting at the helicopters at least 4 times this month alone. The FBI talked to Curbow Monday night at the Union County Sheriffs department.
During that interview Curbow told agents he has fired at the helicopters at least 5 times because they are using lasers to kill his livestock. His other allegations say the government is using satellites to choke him while he eats and that the low flying helicopters are dropping drugs on his property.
During a court appearance today public defenders asked a judge to seek a psychiatric examination for Curbow.
