Apartment Plan in Oxford Rejected
OXFORD, Miss. (WCBI) – The plan to aimed to build 230 apartments in Oxford was rejected this week.
Due to a disagreement over a second entrance, city officials turned down a site plan for the property at the end of Oxford Way. We’re told under Oxford ordinance that any development over 200 units must have two entrances and exits onto a public road or street.
Alderman rejected the proposal for a second entrance off Country Road 3 hundred stating it would be limited to emergency travel. But some argue that the ordinance does not require the most convenient access for those emergency vehicles.
