Another Plea In Alcorn County Corruption Case
PRESS RELEASE
Corinth, Miss-Joseph Lin McNair, Jr, Alcorn county vendor, pled guilty to false representation to defraud government. McNair received 5 years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections, placement in the MDOC intensive supervision program, followed by 4 years of post-release supervision, $5,000 in fines, and court costs in the amount of $631.50.
“I’m very proud of the work that we’ve been able to accomplish here in Alcorn County,” said State Auditor Stacey Pickering. “The sentencing of these 5 individuals marks a pivotal moment for Alcorn County and the future of its local government.”
The sentencing of Joseph McNair Jr., Jimmy Mitchell, Dal Nelms, Danny Peters, and Paul Rhodes, brings the total to 60 years in custody of the MDOC, and over $475,000 in restitution.
