Amory Students to Open Time Capsule
AMORY, Miss. (WCBI) – The Amory High School senior class is preparing for a big reveal. Next week, the students will open a time capsule they buried ten years ago.
In April of 2003, when members of the class of 2013 were second graders, they buried the capsule filled with letters from family, periodicals, pictures, ticket stubs, toys, and clothing items.
Class members will unseal their capsule Tuesday at the Amory High School auditorium.
Senior Reagan Huffman says, “I am looking forward to seeing the classmates that have moved away. I am looking forward to just seeing everyone’s reaction as we open our capsule and find out what we put in it.”
The students got the idea from an episode of the Nickelodeon cartoon “Rocket Power.”
