Alabama Woman Charged with Assaulting Columbus Police Officer

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) -An Alabama woman is in the Lowndes County Jail accused of assaulting a Police Officer.

On Sunday Columbus Police were answering a disturbance call at the Columbus Inn and Suites on 5th Street North.

According to police reports, when they got there, Anastasia McCaa began punching one of the officers in the chest.

McCaa was arrested for Simple Assault on a Police Officer.

Her bond is set at $20,000.00
