Alabama man arrested for not complying with sex offender registry

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – An Alabama man was arrested in Lowndes County for not complying with the sex offender registry.

Thursday, Lowndes County detectives got a tip, that Brandon Dewayne Scott, a registered sex offender in Alabama, was living on Priscilla Circle.

After investigating, officers found Scott was not compliant in Alabama and Mississippi, because he did not register in Lowndes County.

Scott was arrested and charged.

Scott may also face charges in Alabama once he is released on the charges in Mississippi.
