Alabama Governor extends statewide mask order

ALABAMA (WCBI) – Alabama Governor Kay Ivey extends the statewide mask order.

Ivey made the announcement this morning.

The mask order has been extended to October second.

50 percent occupancy rates in stores and limits on restaurant seating will also continue.

Health officials in the state have credited the mask order with reducing the number of new COVID-19 cases in Alabama.
