Alabama Gets No. 1 Ranking, Will Face Ohio State

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WCBI Sports) – Alabama received the No. 1 spot in Sunday’s College Football Playoff rankings. The Crimson Tide will face No. 4 Ohio State in New Orleans at the Superdome Jan. 1 at 7:30 p.m. in one of two national semifinal games.

Alabama won the SEC Championship over Missouri 42-13 Saturday and finished with a 12-1 record.

No. 2 Oregon will play No. 3 Florida State Jan. 1 in Pasadena, California. The winners of both national semifinal games will face each other Jan. 12 in Arlington, Texas.
