Alabama DB Smith Charged With DUI

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WCBI Sports) – There’s bad news for Alabama fans Sunday.

Sophomore defensive back Geno Smith was arrested for driving under the influence. Tuscaloosa County sheriff’s officials confirm the DUI charge from Saturday night.

There is no word on what disciplinary action will be taken against Smith, if any. He is slated to start at Alabama’s nickelback position. Smith started two games last year as a freshman, playing in 13.
