Alabama Chase Ends in Itawamba County

Itawamba County, Mississippi (WCBI) – A Hamilton, Alabama man on the run from law enforcement crashes his car in Itawamba County and is arrested after an hour long manhunt.

Itawamba County Sheriff Chris Dickinson says Charles Ray Powell was caught about 2 P.M. Thursday.

Powell was wanted on a strong armed robbery charge in Hamilton. He crossed the state line trying to elude law enforcement.

Powell was taken to the Marion County, Alabama jail.
