ABERDEEN, Miss. (WCBI) — Aberdeen remembered the 11th anniversary of the terrorist attacks today with patriotic music.
Ministers from several Aberdeen churches offered prayers for those who lost their lives and for police, firefighters, emergency workers and families who still serve their communities.
With music and flag presentations, by local students, the service also served as a tribute to the next generation.
Mayor Cecil Belle led about four dozen people in a poem that not only reflected on the tragedy but also encouraged the country and individuals to rebuild and look to the future.
