Aberdeen Aldermen To Discuss Arrest Of Police Officer
MONROE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – An Aberdeen police officer arrested last week may face disciplinary action.
Mayor Maurice Howard tells WCBI News the board of alderman will meet soon to discuss the arrest of Officer Drakius Betts and what action to take.
The 27-year-old was arrested Thursday night in Aberdeen and charged with Simple Assault.
A Monroe County Sheriff’s deputy made the arrest.
Betts is facing the charge in connection with an alleged assault on his girlfriend.
