NEW HOPE, Miss. (WCBI) – A first grader gets the surprise of her life as she gets a special visitor.

Sailor James Edwards is home for nine days and made a trip to New Hope Elementary to surprise his niece Chelsea during her lunch break. With all smiles and excitement the two ate lunch together.

Edwards just came off a six month deployment to sea. He returns back to Norfolk, Virginia where he is stationed but in the mean time he’ll enjoy time with family and friends.
