A Cold Front Brings Rain and Cooler Temperatures
COLUMBUS, Mississippi (WCBI) – Cooler temperatures and rain make their way back into the forecast as we head into the weekend. Temperatures only warming up into the low 60s for today. Overcast conditions and a few isolated showers continue for your Saturday, but things should begin to clear out by sunset. Rain chances and cooler temperatures continue into the early part of the next work week.
TODAY/TONIGHT – Have the jacket and umbrella handy for today! A cold front passed through last night to bring us more rain and cooler temperatures. There will be a few breaks in the rain, but most of the showers will continue into your late afternoon hours. Highs for today are only into the lower 60s, so much cooler than what we have been seeing the past few days. Most of the rain should be cleared out of the area for any Friday night football games, but bring a towel for those wet bleachers! Also, be sure to have a jacket handy if you plan to head out tonight as temperatures will be cooling off into the upper 40s to low 50s.
TOMORROW – Kicking off your Veteran’s Day with overcast skies and a few isolated showers. Temperatures remain cool with thick cloud coverage throughout the day and highs in the low 60s. The clouds begin to clear out of the area by sunset tomorrow, allowing our temperatures to drop back down into the lower 50s.
NEXT WEEK – Cool and muggy conditions continue through your Sunday with a few isolated showers. Starting off your next work week with highs sticking in the low to middle 60s! We will have some partial clearing for Monday and Tuesday with a few clouds. A few isolated showers remain possible, but most of us just seeing a few clouds.
