Lowndes County leaders prepare for possible severe weather
LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – Lowndes County leaders said they are prepared should the weather turn bad.
Emergency management met with crews Wednesday morning for a weather briefing.
WCBI Chief Meteorologist Keith Gibson was also there to provide an update.
Shelters are open at Caledonia Elementary, New Hope High School, and the new career and technology building in east Columbus.
Law enforcement will be there to provide security.
Columbus High rescheduled its prom that was supposed to happen Wednesday night.
