TCPS Student Gets ‘Wish’ Granted For A Disney Cruise

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) –  An eighth grader at Tupelo Christian Preparatory School receives a big surprise, when she learns her wish to go on a Disney Cruise is granted.

Fourteen year old Alana Gass was diagnosed with HLH, a life threatening immunodefieiency disease.  The Make A Wish Mid South chapter learned of Alana’s wish to take a Disney cruise with her family, and students at TCPS raised the funds for the once in a lifetime trip.

Alana says she is healthy and is looking forward to taking the Disney cruise.

“It’s been like my dream since I was eight, it’s been the number one thing I’ve always wanted to do. And I love doing stuff with my family, getting to see how they react too and I think they will enjoy it as well,” Gass said.

Alana and her family leave next weekend for the cruise.   TCPS students granted a second wish to a kindergarten student later in the day.
