MSU Men’s Basketball Releases JUCO Signee from Scholarship

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI/MSU Athletics) —Mississippi State coach Rick Ray announced on Tuesday that junior college signee Quantel Denson has been released from his scholarship for failure to adhere to rules and regulations set prior to his signing back in November.

The 6’9″ forward from Park Hills, Mo., is currently at Mineral Area Community College and was one of four players Ray inked in the early signing period.

“We had a zero tolerance policy with Quantel, and he failed to live up to the obligations we had outlined for him,” Ray said. “We wish him the best for his future endeavors.”

No further comment will be made regarding this matter.
