Law Agencies React To Fake Social Media Post

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – Starkville and Oktibbeha County law enforcement are warning the public about a fake social media post.

Seen here, the post claims that a rapist was breaking into homes near HWY 389.

Although the post was deleted this morning, it racked up over 700 shares.

Both agencies say they have not received a single report related to this post.

In a joint press release the two law enforcement agencies ask the public to only rely on information from reputable sources.
