A Brooksville Man Is Accused Of Shooting His Father

BROOKSVILLE, Miss. (WCBI)- A shooting lands one person behind bars and sends another to the hospital.

According to the Brooksville Police Department, 19-year-old Everett Shields is accused of shooting his father, 49-year-old Elvis Shields.

The shooting happened Thursday evening around six o’clock at 500 Meadowbrook Drive.

The police department said Elvis Shields was shot multiple times and was airlifted to North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.

He is listed in stable condition.

The Noxubee County Sheriff’s Department arrested Everett, and he is being charged with two counts of aggravated assault.
