Kidnapping Suspect Turns Himself In

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – A kidnapping suspect turns himself into police almost a week after the original incident.

36-year-old Lawayne Robinson was arrested yesterday for the kidnapping and assault of a reported former girlfriend.

Police say Robinson kidnapped the victim from a business on Highway 45.

Following the assault, she was treated at Baptist Memorial Hospital.

Robinson’s bond has not been set.
