Accused Shooter Makes Initial Court Appearance

UNION COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – The man accused of killing a Union County man over the weekend made his initial court appearance today, February 12.

Bobby Cobb was arraigned in court this morning and is being charged with Murder.

Cobb is accused of shooting and killing Jeff Whitten of Union County.

It was just before 2 o’clock Saturday evening when Sheriff deputies responded to a domestic disturbance call.

When investigators arrived, they found Whitten suffering from multiple gun shot wounds.

He died on the scene.

Cobb’s bond is set at $1 million.
