Believers come together in Aberdeen for National Day of Prayer

ABERDEEN, Miss. (WCBI) – Cities across the country are celebrating National Day of Prayer.

Aberdeen leaders, first responders, and locals all joined together at city hall.

Different preachers and town leaders prayed for the town, county and nation.

Barbara Vasser says the idea behind it all is to bring the community together and lean on the Lord.

“So very much needed because prayer will always win and you know, we pray to God, sometimes He don’t come right then, but we have to wait. Don’t stop praying, continue to pray, so today is a good day for the National Day of Prayer, but we need prayer every day, says Vasser.

A part of Main Street was blocked off for the event.
