Prentiss County Man Faces Six Sexual Assault Charges
GUNTOWN, Miss. (WCBI) – A Prentiss County man is behind bars tonight facing six sexual assault charges.
Guntown Police Chief Michael Hall says William Earl Smith is being charged with five counts of Molesting and one count of Attempted Sexual Battery.
Hall says Smith is a convicted sex offender and was on probation with the Mississippi Department of Corrections prior this arrest.
The 34-year-old was convicted of touching a child for lustful purposes in Prentiss County in 2008.
Smith is being held in the Lee County Jail on a $250,000.
He’s expected to face more charges from the Saltillo Police Department.
