Top Spellers In Columbus Compete

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – More than 35 students compete to become Lowndes County’s top speller.

Students from public and private schools were on the MUW campus this morning, January 23, for the competition.

Chloe Barr won the spelling bee with Arianna Brown in a close second.

Both students will represent Lowndes County in the state spelling bee.

This will be Barr’s second time to be the county’s contestant in the competition.
