Shot Fired In Road Rage Incident

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A case of road rage sped into Lowndes County this morning, January 11.

According to Chief Deputy Marc Miley, the victim passed the suspect near Highway 45 South and Highway 82.

After being passed, the suspect shot through his own windshield and into the back of the victim’s car.

Fortunately the victim was not hit during the incident.

Deputies were able to arrest the suspect, Mark Thomas, just before 8 a.m., on Nashville Ferry and Community Roads.

The Starkville man is charged with one count of Aggravated Assault.
