Dry and Windy Today.
TODAY: A bit cooler than yesterday as a cold front pushes through the area this morning. Highs temperatures only climb to around 50°. Gusty winds are likely today, especially in the mid morning. Sustained winds generally around 15-25 mph out of the northwest from mid morning to sunset, with wind gusts in the 25-30 mph range. These winds, along with a dry airmass that has been in place for days and moderate drought conditions across most of the area will lead to a fire threat today. Any fires that do start could spread quickly, so while no burn bans are in place, be sure to use extra precaution if planning any burning in our area. Winds die down overnight, and temperatures drop to the upper 20s.
WED/THU: Mostly sunny through mid-week. Highs in the mid 50s. Overnight lows drop to the low 30s.
FRIDAY: Slightly cooler behind another dry cold front. High temperature only climbing to around 50°. Overnight lows drop to the upper 20s.
SATURDAY: Temperatures quickly rebound to start the weekend. Highs in the upper 50s under mostly sunny skies. Clouds increase overnight ahead of a front. Lows in the low 40s.
SUNDAY: Temperatures top out in the mid 60s as a cold front approaches from the northwest. This time, the front should have some moisture to work with, and rain looks relatively likely, and the rain may continue into the overnight hours. Chance of rain 60%. Overnight lows in the low 40s.
MONDAY: A few lingering showers possible in the morning, then decreasing clouds. Highs in the upper 50s.
