Video: Lights, Decorations And Snow Featured At Ballard Lighting
TUPELO, MISS. (WCBI) – It was a big celebration this evening in Tupelo, as the annual Christmas lights at Ballard Park were unveiled.
Christmas themed lights and decorations were turned on throughout the park during a festive ceremony.
There was music, an appearance by “The Grinch” and even snow, courtesy of the city’s Parks and Rec Department.
Organizers say it’s exciting to see hundreds come out for the annual event.
“It’s a lot of work but I’m loving the snow tonight, I’m loving the snow in 60 degree weather and bringing the snow to Tupelo,” said Alex Farned, diredtor of Parks and Rec for Tupelo.
This is the 26th year for the Ballard Park Christmas light display. It will be up through New Year’s Day.
