A Pedestrian Was Struck And Killed By A Vehicle Early Easter Morning
UNION COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A pedestrian was struck and killed in Union County early Sunday morning.
The Mississippi Highway Patrol says it’s still trying to determine the person’s identity.
Troop F Public Affairs Officer Ray Hall says it happened at 2:20 a.m., near mile marker 67.
When MHP Troopers arrived on the scene, it appeared a white female was walking in the east bound lanes of I-22, when she was struck by a 2014 Ford Transit.
She died on the scene and the driver of the vehicle was not injured.
Anyone with any information concerning the identity of the pedestrian is asked to call their local Sheriff’s Department or the Mississippi Highway Patrol, Troop F, at 662-534-8650.
