Rainy Start To Week; Cooldown On The Way.
TODAY: Warm and muggy. Highs in the upper 70s under mostly cloudy skies. A few showers will be possible through the day. Chance of rain around 30%.
TONIGHT: A few lingering showers possible. Otherwise mostly cloudy and mild. Lows in the low to mid 60s. Chance of rain 20%.
TUESDAY: Weather remains much the same as yesterday. Highs in the mid to upper 70s under mostly cloudy skies, with a few scattered showers. Cold front moves through overnight and scattered showers continue. Overnight lows in mid 50s. Chance of rain around 30%.
WEDNESDAY: Much cooler behind the cold front. A shortwave approaches our area providing a trigger for more widespread rain behind the cold front. The best chance for rain will occur in the evening and overnight hours.. Highs in the upper 50s and low 60s. Overnight lows in the mid 40s. Chance of rain 60%.
THURSDAY:The shortwave trough pushes through our area during the day on Thursday. A lingering shower cannot be ruled out in the morning, but we will be dry by the afternoon. Highs in the upper 50s and low 60s. Overnight lows in the upper 30s and low 40s. Chance of rain in the morning 10%.
FRIDAY: Ridging starts to build in from the west and high pressure regains control of the pattern. Temperatures begin to rebound as well. Highs in the mid 60s under mostly sunny skies. Overnight lows in the mid 40s.
SATURDAY: Partly cloudy and mild. Highs in the upper 60s and lower 70s. Increasing clouds overnight. Lows around 50°.
SUNDAY: Another weak shortwave may clip the northern portion of the area Sunday, but it does appear a cold front associated with the upper level system will move through Sunday. Models have struggled a bit with the amount of moisture available ahead of the front, thus rain chances are still a bit up in the air. Latest model runs indicate at least a decent chance for rain, so for now we will add a 30% chance for rain, but not add a rain icon to the 7 day just yet. Highs in the upper 60s.
