VIDEO: Toyota of Mississippi Celebrates 10 Years
TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – Over the weekend, Toyota Manufacturing of Mississippi celebrated ten years in the Magnolia state with a bash in downtown Tupelo.
The company that manufactures the Corolla is getting ready to roll its one-millionth vehicle off the assembly line at the Blue Springs plant within the next month.
The Vice President for Manufacturing at the plant Sean Suggs said the public is going to be excited about a new visiting center.
“A ten million dollar investment to a new visitors center that will not only attract our team members and their families but the community as well. We’re very excited about it. They can expect to see a world class organization and an operation from how we build vehicles but it’s also going to show them from an inception on how our company was built some of the principles and guiding principles of Toyota. So it’s going to be an all encompassing facility that will accommodate a lot of different people from all ages,” said Suggs.
The company unveiled a $60,000 donation to the Sanctuary Hospice House and four new Corollas that will be used by its home health professionals to take care of people.
