Suspect Sentenced To 40 Years For Noxubee County Murder
NOXUBEE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – The man that pleaded guilty to shooting and killing a Noxubee County night club owner will spend 40 years in prison.
Cedric Carter pleaded guilty to Second Degree Murder in Noxubee County Circuit Court earlier this week.
He was sentenced on Thursday, March 29.
Carter was arrested in December 2016 after shooting Andrew Quintrell Sherrod, 34.
Sherrod was shot outside of his business, “Cashey’s Sports Bar and Grill.”
Sheriff Terry Grassaree says Carter got into an argument with his girlfriend and Sherrod asked him to leave.
The men went outside the night spot and shots were fired.
Deangelo Martin was injured in the shooting.
