Gas Company Thanks First Responders

WEST POINT, Miss. (WCBI) – They put their lives on the line every day and today first responders were recognized and honored.

Atmos Energy hosted its annual “Hero’s Day” Friday.

The company invited law enforcement officers, firemen, National Guard members, and other emergency personnel to have lunch.

Organizers say they just want these local heroes to know that their hard work and sacrifice are appreciated.

More than two dozen first responders attended the luncheon.
