Freeze Warning Saturday Night

Freeze Warning Saturday Night

SATURDAY:  A rapid clearing trend will take place from west to east during the morning and that means a lot of sunshine overall during the day.  The caveat will be much cooler air with highs only in the 50s.  Breezy NW winds between 10 and 15 mph will continue.  Dress in layers if you’ll be heading to the Ole Miss game in Oxford.

SATURDAY NIGHT:  Clear and chilly conditions settle in.  It looks like the wind will slacken just enough to allow temperatures to fall into the low 30s.  A widespread frost or freeze is likely so be sure to protect your plants.

SUNDAY:  Wall-to-wall sunshine rounds out the weekend.  Temperatures should moderate back into the upper 50s during the afternoon. Overall it’ll be a very nice late October day.

SUNDAY NIGHT:  Another chilly night is likely with lows in the mid 30s but it may not be quite as cold as Saturday night.  Some frost will be possible, especially in low lying and sheltered spots.

NEXT WEEK:  Daytime highs will moderate into the 60s and 70s while overnight lows climb back into the 40s and 50s.  Halloween is looking pretty good right now with seasonable temperatures and dry conditions.  Scattered showers may return to the region starting Wednesday.
