Stand Up To Bullying Through Drama

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – A familiar kid’s story was brought to life with a twist for students at Tupelo’s Parkway Elementary.

“The Three Little Pigs and the Big Bully Wolf” was performed by the “Drama Queens” of the Junior Auxiliary.

The actresses performed the short play, which tells the story of a bully wolf, who meets his match.

It’s all part of an effort to teach students how to stand up to a bully and the importance of treating everyone the right way.

“In this day and time, bullying is such an issue, and even more so now with things they will face when they get phones and social media, and such so, learning from an early age, to stand up for yourself, not allow yourself to be bullied, is important,” said JA “Drama Queen” Gracie Menetre.

The “Drama Queens” performed the play at Saltillo Wednesday,  and the Early Childhood Education Center and Parkway on Thursday.
