Attempted Kidnapping Suspect Back In Court
STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – This afternoon John Arnold Jr., who’s facing two counts of Attempted Kidnapping, went before a judge to decide if his case should go before a grand jury.
Several witnesses took the stand, including the mother of the child who Arnold allegedly was trying to check out of school, back in February.
Reports state he went by Starkville Academy and Sudduth Elementary looking for the child.
The mother testified against Arnold saying he didn’t have permission to remove the child from school.
The mother filed a report with the Starkville Police Department, leading to the attempted kidnapping charges.
Arnold’s bond is set at $30 million stemming from other charges after he removed his ankle bracelet, reportedly assaulted an Oktibbeha County Jailer, and tried to escape from jail.
