Death Investigation In Baldwyn

BALDWYN, Miss. (WCBI) – The investigation continues into the apparent murder of an elderly Baldwyn resident.

The body of 70 year-old Henry Adams Junior was found inside his home Monday afternoon. Crime scene investigators, including agents with the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation, were called to the residence.

Adams was known for selling used cars at his property for decades.  Baldwyn Police Chief Troy Agnew confirms Adams’ wallet was found on a bridge on nearby Sand Hill Road.

Ira Grice has lived near Adams for years.  He says Adams was a great neighbor, and he hopes authorities quickly catch whomever is responsible.

“He was a very nice person, very quiet, kept to himself, I notice he didn’t drink anything, or smoke any cigarettes, he was just a nice person, it makes you feel kind of nervous, it’s not a good feeling, very, funny feeling,” Grice said.

Grice also points out there was a lot of traffic at Adams’ residence, because of his used car business.  Adams’ body was sent to the state crime lab in Pearl for an autopsy.   Anyone with any information is asked to contact authorities.
