First Responders Lunch

BOONEVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – A northeast Mississippi hospital shows its appreciation to first responders with a free meal.

Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville invited police officers, firefighters, paramedics and other first responders to have lunch.

Hospital staff prepared a potluck lunch for those who protect and serve the community on a daily basis.

The hospital’s CEO says it’s important to let first responders know how much they are appreciated.

“We have a very good relationship here at the hospital with our first responders  and basically this is a big thank you to them for putting their lives on the line everyday and protecting us and so it’s a way for us to give back to them, we put out an announcement to hospital staff and they put together the lunch,” said BMH Booneville CEO James Grantham.

This is the second year BMH Booneville has hosted a lunch for first responders.
