Video: Chaos At Busy Intersection

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – What started as an attempted traffic stop led to chaos at a busy Columbus Intersection, ending with one man behind bars.

Lowndes County Deputies were trying to pull over R.B. Green for Careless Driving.

The Nissian Rogue he was driving got caught at the red light at 18th Avenue and 5th Street North.

Deputies say Green refused to cooperate and began yelling and screaming at officers.

Green eventually opened the door and deputies say he was reaching for what they believe was a pistol they found in the front seat.

Green was booked into the Lowndes County Detention Center facing several charges including, Disorderly Conduct, Resisting Arrest and Possession of Marijuana.

Deputies say there was also a child in the car at the time and has since been released to the mother.
