Assault Call Turns To Police Chase After Cruiser Struck
STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – An Oktibbeha County man is charged after hitting a MSU Police car and leading law enforcement on a chase.
20 year-old Jeremy Young is charged with felony fleeing and domestic violence.
MSU Police Chief Vance Rice says his officers were called to an assault in progress call at an academic building.
Young was found by officers trying to pull a woman out of a vehicle and then drove off.
He damaged one MSU patrol car and led law enforcement on a pursuit through Octoc.
Young was eventually arrested at his home.
Rice says Young and the alleged victim are related but have no affiliation with the university.
No injuries were reported.
Young’s bond had not been set this afternoon.
