Police Searching For Suspect Accused Of Cashing Fake Checks

PONTOTOC, Miss. (WCBI) – A man accused of cashing counterfeit checks in June, is believed to have struck again months later.

In mid-June, two counterfeit checks were used at the Eastside Quick Stop gas station in Pontotoc.

Caught on security cameras, a man and woman entered the gas station on East Oxford Street, cashing two checks that were presented as payroll checks.

Never identified, the man believed to have cashed the previous counterfeit checks, did so again last Monday, September 18, at the Ecru Quick Stop on Main Street.

A white Dodge Charger with a dark spoiler and an unknown emblem on its sides is thought to be the suspect’s vehicle.
