Columbus Man Arrested For Warrants Connected To Princess Theater Shooting

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI)- A Columbus man with outstanding warrants from the Princess Theater Shooting of last March has been arrested.

Yesterday, 31 year old Morris Lanier was arrested at the Motel 6 located on Highway 45 by the U-S Marshal Fugitive Task Force and the Lowndes County Narcotics Unit.

Columbus P.D. issued the warrants for two counts of intimidating a witness.

The warrants are connected to Lanier’s arrest for his alleged role in the March Princess Theater shooting in downtown Columbus.

Lanier is believed to have made threats to and harassed a witness after learning of a Lowndes County Grand Jury indictment.

His bond was denied by Municipal Court Judge Gary Goodwin.
