Local Car Dealer Organizes Benefit For Hurricane Harvey Victims

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – A local car dealer is doing its part to help those impacted by Hurricane Harvey.

Sam Stevens Motors in Tupelo will hold a family fun day this coming Saturday.  All proceeds will go to “Eight Days of Hope” which is in the Houston area, helping flood victims gut their homes and prep them for repair work.

Each ten dollar donation, or ten dollar gift card, gets one entry into a giant prize package that will be given away next Saturday afternoon.

So far, more than 30 businesses have donated items for the giveaway.

“You know, we wanted to do something big and something that, we know people in town want to help and want to donate and didn’t necessarily know how to go about it, so we have been very fortunate with local businesses, not one has turned us down,” said Lindsey Martin, with Sam Stevens Motors.

Inflatables will be at the car lot, along with snow cones and other refreshments.  The giveaway will take place around 4 this coming Saturday at Sam Stevens Motors on Eason Boulevard.
