Lee County Sheriff Department Still Investigating Robbery

LEE COUNTY, Miss. (PRESS RELEASE)- The Lee County Sheriff’s Department is investigating an armed robbery that was reported on September 5, 2017, at the Dollar General located at Hwy 145 and Birmingham Ridge Road.

Reported to us is that around 9:27pm a black male, 5’10 to 6’0, 170-190 lbs. entered the Dollar General and demanded money.

The suspect appears to have a weapon in their pocket while robbing the clerk. The suspect left the store on foot.

The search shortly after the robbery leads investigators to believe the suspect parked a vehicle near the store, before the robbery, and returned to the vehicle after the robbery.

Possible suspect vehicle is a Maroon/Burgundy Nissan Altima/Maxima with Alabama Stickers in rear window. If you have any knowledge of this, please contact 911 or our dispatch at 662-680-5766.
