Video: 1 Injured In Oktibbeha Shooting, No Arrest Made
OKTIBBEHA COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – Oktibbeha County deputies continue searching for the man accused of shooting a 22 year-old.
Investigator Brett Watson tells WCBI the shooting occurred about 8:30 PM Thursday on Willie Road.
Deputies found an male victim shot one time in the side.
They believe three of four shots were fired at the scene.
Watson says the victim and the suspect got into an argument in the middle of the road and that’s where the shooting happened.
The unidentified suspect got out of the backseat of a white, early 2000’s model Chevrolet Malibu. Multiple people are suspected to have been in the vehicle at the time of the shooting, including a five year-old child.
The suspect is described as a black male with dark clothing.
Watson says the victim was airlifted to the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. At last check, he was stable.
There is not indication, at this time, that this shooting is connected with a homicide inside the Starkville city limits.
