Video: Louisville Blue Star Marker Dedication
[bitsontherun vVRjMuaw]LOUISVILLE, Miss. (WCBI)- They line the nation’s highways to pay tribute to the nation’s military veterans. Friday (11-9), a special ceremony attended by dozens of veterans, families and dignitaries unveiled another one. Louisville is home to the newest Blue Star Marker. The Nation’s Garden Clubs adopted the Blue Star Marker project at the end of World War Two as a constant reminder of the sacrifice veterans and their families make. Fridays ceremony featured a fly over by vintage P-5 World War Two era Bombers from the Meridian Naval Air Station. Members of Winston County’s three Garden Clubs coordinated today’s event and unveiling.
