Video: Bond Denied for Noxubee CO Murder Suspect

NOXUBEE CO, Miss. (WCBI)– Marcus Gardner made his first appearance in Noxubee County Justice Court, Wednesday afternoon.

The 22-year-old faces one count of murder, and one count of aggravated assault, after allegedly shooting and killing Chelsea Pace, 21.

Noxubee County investigators, were called to the scene early Tuesday morning.

They discovered Pace, along with her 4-year-old son, who was also shot. The child is in stable condition.

A judge denied bond, and appointed attorney Shane Thompson to Gardner’s case, until the family hires legal counsel.

Gardner was surrounded by loved ones during the hearing, and remained silent when asked for a comment.
