West Point Woman Jailed For Domestic Violence After Sunday Stabbing

WEST POINT, Miss. (WCBI) – A woman is behind bars in West Point after an early Sunday morning domestic violence incident.

33-year-old Sharon Evans is charged with domestic violence – aggravated assault.

Around 4:30 AM on July 30, West Point police were called to Glendale Drive for assault with a weapon. Once they got on scene, they found a victim with multiple stab wounds; they were in a relationship with Evans at the time of the assault.

The victim, suffering serious injuries, was taken to Baptist Memorial Hospital by ambulance for treatment.

Evans turned herself in to the West Point Police Department Monday. She was arraigned in Municipal Court today.

Evans’ bond is set at $50,000 thousand.
