Traffic Cleared After Minor Accidents Create Major Traffic Jam

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – Two minor accidents create a major traffic headache on Monday morning in Lowndes County.

Cars were backed up at least a mile after the crashes.

The Mississippi Highway Patrol says the incident happened in the westbound lane, just past the Tenn-Tom bridge.

One person was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

While the clean-up was happening at that accident, there was a rear-end crash on the bridge.

It took a while to clear the scene but traffic is flowing smoothly now.
