VIDEO: Tupelo Hosts Event To Wipe Out Violence

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI)- The city of Tupelo is trying to wipe out hate in their community.

Theron-Nichols Park was the site of Saturday’s first ever love more-never hate event.

Residents of South Tupelo say they came together to wipe out the violence that has been occurring in their area

They say they thought it would be a great idea to bring the community together to get involved and try to come up with some solutions.

Organizers say they want to show the youth of the community that there is more to their city than shootings.

This event comes on heels of another community wide meeting involving the Green Tee, Southern Heights, and Haven Acres neighborhood associations as well.

Warrick hopes that everyone will come together and make a difference.
