Wednesday Crash Claims Life Of Monroe County Teen

CLARKE COUNTY (WCBI) – A Hamilton teen is dead following a Wednesday crash in Clarke County.   Clarke County Coroner Greg Fairchild says 16 year old Gavin Toler was killed when the Chevy Tahoe he was riding in collided with another SUV .

Mississippi Highway Patrol Sergeant Andy West says the Chevy Tahoe from Monroe County was driving south on Highway 45 when a Honda Odyssey entering the road from Highway 145 pulled in front of the SUV from Monroe County.   West says 7 people were in the Tahoe and the 6 others in the SUV suffered injuries some of which are life threatening.   The 3 occupants of the other vehicle involved were not hurt.   The intersection near Clarkdale where the accident happened has been the site of several serious collisions.
